BBC Alba - Cèilidh Na Bliadhn' ÙireBBC ALBA is hosting its annual Hogmanay Ceilidh live from the Byre at Inchyra in Perthshire this year, welcoming a whole host of wonderful musicians and singers to bring in the bells in fine Highland style. Artistes taking part will include the Glenfinnan Ceilidh Band, Skipinnish, Mairi MacInnes, Robyn Stapleton, Iain 'Costello' MacIver, our pals in the Vale of Atholl Pipe Band... and, we are delighted to say, our own Aberfeldy & District Gaelic Choir! The programme will go out live on Thursday 31st December from around 11:30 pm. BBC Alba broadcasts on Sky Channel 143 and Freeview Channel 8. It is a great honour for the Choir to be chosen, and we are looking forward to it with a mixture of excitement and apprehension... |
