Forthcoming Events - Spring 2013
The Choir is now back to weekly rehearsals and Gaelic
lessons, with several new members from the Open Night held at the beginning
of February, and having reunited at a very successful Burns Supper (somewhat
delayed because of the weather) which got the vocal chords dusted off!
We are now getting ready for two Spring performances:
On Friday 15th March, we have been asked to perform at
the Ceilidh @ the Campus as part of the Aberfeldy Feis
(a Gaelic Festival). The evening will be the highlight of the Feis and
have performances from a mixture of traditional singers and musicians
– including some with a freer approach to trad music such as headliners
Treacherous
Orchestra. The concert is from 7.30-9.30pm at Breadalbane
Community Campus, Aberfeldy.

On Saturday 18th May, we have also
been invited to sing at Norman and Diana Beedie's Annual Concert,
along with some of their other musical pupils. The concert aims to raise
funds for local causes: Aberfeldy Cottage Hospital, Abbeyfield and Dalweem.
Norman
and Diana are respected musicians who live locally and they have assisted
the choir with several invaluable workshops. More details to follow...
In addition to these two events, the choir will
compete at the Perthshire and Angus Mod in Aberfeldy
on Saturday 15th June.
