Dunkeld Cathedral Concert with Welsh Choir

On Saturday 28th May, Aberfeldy & District Gaelic Choir performed in a joint concert at Dunkeld Cathedral, alongside members of the internationally renowned Vale of Atholl Pipe Band and a ladies' choir from Swansea, the Singleton Singers (pictured below).

The programme was very well received, and helped raise over £1600 for Breakthrough Breast Cancer, an Edinburgh-based organisation which funds life-saving research and treatments.

Singing a mixed repertoire of Welsh, French, English and Gaelic songs, the choirs took full advantage of the Cathedral's fine acoustics to give a warm and spirited performance; the highlight undoubtedly being a joint rendition, with pipes and drums, of Frances McCallum's arrangement of Highland Cathedral.
