Royal National Mod 2013, Paisley
Aberfeldy and District Gaelic Choir took part in the
National Mod in Paisley in October with usual enthusiasm, but were not
able to repeat the success of the previous year. The Margrat Duncan Memorial
Trophy was won this time by Largs Gaelic Choir, with Aberfeldy finishing
a creditable fourth.
The Puirt-a-Beul competition was won by Inverness,
and the Lovat & Tullibardine Shield went for the first time in 40
years to Govan Gaelic Choir.
Our quartet, Fuaimeach (Gilliain MacDonald,
May Brown, Peter MacIntosh and Brian Owen) were runners-up in the Quartet
competition, losing out to Cumbernauld's Na Boireannaich Eile
- Emma, Rachael, Catriona and Rhona.

The Choir in a characteristically wet Paisley, having
just sung in the Margrat Duncan competition.
